All in a Row Irish Art

So how do you get the rubber ducks all in a row ? With great difficulty ! This lovely little boy was out enjoying the puddles on the boraheen after the rain.

Choosing The Right Colours

The yellow was a perfect to the grey of the ground and the murky look of the puddles.  I wanted  a vibrant yellow for this painting because  the reflections off the puddle would be very colourful and vibrant. Rían had great fun playing with the rubber ducks in the rain and puddles.  I used three yellows from Winsor and Newton. The gray is Gamblin Portland gray a beautiful warm neutral that I use a lot. Chrome yellow, cadmium yellow and yellow ochre.
