What Past Clients Say:

One of her most alluring for me was “Birthright”. This work of art symbolises Kerry patriotism and the passion that is the foundation of Kerry Football and Kerry People. This has pride of place in my home and I look forward to building on the collection.

Marc O'SéRegarding "Birthright"

Ordered a portrait of my son for my Mother's 60th birthday. Dealt with Maureen who was more than obliging and worked to my budget. Her detail and work was top class. Was a pleasure to deal with her. Highly recommend her.

Mark Power

Maureen painted the most beautiful picture for me of my two daughters on my wedding day. Pictured in their flower girl dresses, I have the pleasure of hanging this beautiful memory in our New York home. I absolutely love this sentimental picture and I highly recommend Maureen’s talent.

We commissioned Maureen to do a portrait of our little girl on her communion. Maureen guided us through all parts of the process with her experience and input in ensuring we were fully involved and consulted. The end product was stunning and is a central focal point in our home. Apart from being a superb artist, Maureen is fantastic to work with, affable and easy to get along with. Would have no problem in recommending her work.

I can't tell you enough how happy I am with it. I walked past the painting late last night just before bed and looked at it from an angle that I'd never seen it from before, all I can say is thank you so so much because you've give me so much more than I ever imagined I was going to get. It's something that I will cherish for many many years.

PAINTING PEOPLE

FOR ME, THERE IS NO GREATER HONOUR

For me, art is a form of expression and so very visual.  That is why I love to paint children and people in their usual environment. As such, I aim to capture a fleeting moment, a movement, an expression that will resonate with the subject and their people. I literally know at times that I am tasked with Painting Heirlooms that will be passed down through the generations-no pressure! However, it is also a huge privilege. People let me into their homes, their lives and their world because they trust me and I always do my utmost to honour that.

Once I get into working on a portrait piece I simply cannot be disturbed. I just have to keep going until I feel I’ve captured something special. But it’s not always so intense -some days I just play around painting teddy bears! One way or another, I can usually be found in my studio lost in my own world or somebody elses…Morning time is best for the detailed work like hands eyes, and patterns that need concentration. I am in my studio by nine o’clock and begin my day by mixing the colours of the day while listening to podcasts. By early afternoon the concentration levels drop so its easy listening music and painting in the background, assessing the mornings work, and prep for the following day.

If you happen to be in Kerry and would like to see my art up close, my work is available to view in Hennebries in Traleee & further afield you can view my original paintings at The Tuckmill Gallery in Kildare.
